BREAKING NEWS !!!
Womens Golf Northern Rivers Notice of Special General Meeting 2023
Golf NSW JNJG Womens Northern Rivers Region Servicing Proposal 201022
Ladies, as most of you would be aware we held our WGNR AGM last Monday 17 October.
Unfortunately, we were unable to fill the positions of Vice President, Secretary and Vice Secretary.
This then means that we are unable to continue to operate as an association representing the Northern Rivers Lady golfers.
I have spoken to Stuart Fraser (Golf NSW CEO) and he will be advising us on the process to wind up WGNR.
Golf NSW will then assume the administration of our district, whereby our affiliation fees would go directly to them and not WGNR.
The good news is that some/all of our events and activities can continue to operate, but under a different servicing model.
We are in discussions with Stuart on setting this process in motion and will update you as we go along.
If you have any questions, please email WGNR and Rhonda will forward them onto me to respond.
Keep golfing and stay positive

Introducing Women’s Golf Northern Rivers
Situated on the North East corner of New South Wales are the golf clubs that constitute Women’s Golf Northern Rivers, a ladies golf district of Golf New South Wales.
The Northern Rivers District takes in one of the state’s most progressive and fastest growing areas, from Grafton in the south, just over 600km north of Sydney, to the Queensland border at the southern end of the Gold Coast.
It is a popular destination for visitors and residents in search of lifestyle and business opportunities. Local features include cities such as Lismore, Grafton, Tweed Heads; the tourist mecca of Byron Bay and the alternative lifestyle of Nimbin, plus a number of vibrant rural and coastal villages and towns. It has a diverse population from retirees to young people. It has a superb natural environment from the mountains to the sea. All this means that there is a fantastic mix of golf courses to explore.
Listed on “Our Clubs” page are those 19 clubs that today are “Women’s Golf Northern Rivers”.
We encourage you to come to join us both in club fixtures and district events.
The Celebration of 80 years …
“Women’s Golf Northern Rivers has a history and culture in which it can take great pride. Its story is built on the contribution of many talented and committed women, and we owe them a great debt for the part they have played in the development and promotion of this great game. On behalf of Golf NSW, congratulations on eighty outstanding years, and best wishes for an equally strong and successful future.” | |
